Hyunji is a Korean indie artist who has built a distinctive musical world while maintaining a dedicated cult following, despite her debut date remaining largely unknown to the public. Operating also under the moniker Hyunjin Project, she has pursued a wide range of musical experiments rooted in the free-spirited sensibility and authenticity that define the Korean independent music scene.

Musically, Hyunji gravitates toward a style that transcends genre boundaries. Her 2006 full-length album 'Street Jazz In My Soul' stands as a defining work, blending jazz sensibility with street culture in a way that encapsulates her artistic vision. The 2023 remastered re-releases of her 'New Dance' trilogy further demonstrated her commitment to revisiting past work and introducing it to new audiences.

From 2022, she expanded into the realm of visual media by contributing original soundtracks to the web drama 'Boarding Romance' under the Hyunjin Project name. The 2023 EP 'Just Attention' reaffirmed her consistent creative output, while the 2025 EP 'Hip-Hop 20th Anniversary Album X Hyunjin' featuring Shin Haesol placed her firmly within the historical narrative of Korean hip-hop.
